European Capital Markets Technology & Innovation Virtual Series Thumbnail Image

About the event

The AFME European Capital Markets Technology and Innovation Conference is the leading event for the European capital markets industry to debate strategic technology and operations change.

Due to the impact of COVID19 on wholesale markets and associated challenges for running in-person events, the planned November 2020 conference has been rescheduled to September 2021. In place of an in-person conference, AFME is arranging a series of 1-hour webinars from the 16-20 November 2020 that will maintain AFME’s engagement with strategic stakeholders while building momentum for the upcoming 2021 conference.

The webinar series will look to bring over 300+ senior market professionals from Europe’s leading financial institutions to discuss a broad range of priorities for firms and policymakers in technology and operations. Speakers will include high-level policymakers, technology consultants and industry leaders, among many others.

Our five webinars will assess how firms are operating in the context of COVID19 and the progress being made to identify short and long term actions to embrace technological change. The discussion will cover topics of digitalisation, operational resilience and sustainability, as well as emerging technologies relating to artificial intelligence, cloud, digital assets, data and cybersecurity.

Even though we will have to wait until 2021 to meet you in person, we relish the opportunity to embrace technology to engage with stakeholders in new and meaningful ways; this is, after all, an event centring on technology and innovation!
