    Executive Director and Principal, Europe Economics

    Dr. Andrew Lilico is a Principal at Europe Economics, a Fellow of the Institute of Economic Affairs, Chairman of the IEA Monetary Policy Committee and was Chairman of Economists for Britain.

    As Chief Economist of Policy Exchange from 2009-10 he produced what the BBC has described as the "essential theory" behind the Coalition's initial deficit reduction strategy. At Europe Economics he has worked extensively on major finance and regulatory questions, including for clients such as the European Commission, UK government departments and regulators, industry associations and large firms.

    He is a frequent contributor in the UK and international media on economic and financial matters, including on programmes such as Newsnight, the Today Programme, Sky News, CNBC and Bloomberg. His first degree was from St John's College, Oxford and his doctorate from University College, London, where he also lectured in macroeconomics and in monetary theory.

    Craig Abouchar is a member of Barings’ European High Yield Investments Group and the European High Yield Investment Committee. He is a lead portfolio manager for the firm’s European High Yield Bond business and he is responsible for the portfolio management of numerous strategies. Craig has worked in the industry since 1994 and his experience has encompassed a focus on below-investment-grade assets across all investment types and geographic markets. Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Craig was Co-CEO, Europe of Castle Hill Asset Management. Prior to Castle Hill, he was a portfolio manager at Ignis Investment Management.

    Craig was also previously the chairman of the board of directors for the European High Yield Association. Craig earned a B.B.A. in Finance from Emory University and an M.B.A in Finance and International Business from Columbia University.

    Previously, Christopher was a Vice President of Leveraged Finance at Merrill Lynch where he worked on numerous leveraged loan and high yield financings. He has also worked in principal investment at GE Capital, and in strategy consulting.

    Christopher has an MA in Classics from Oxford University.
    He joined Cinven in 2010.

    equity, credit and structured asset classes.

    Prior to this buyside experience, Phil began his career in corporate finance at Deutsche Bank, before moving to high yield research at UBS.

    Phil received an MA from the University of Cambridge, completing his studies at the Judge Business School.

    Prior to BNPP, he worked at Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust. He brings with him 30 years of Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance and Debt Capital Markets experience.

    Maurizio has participated as a panellist or guest speaker at various conferences on topics such as debt capital markets and European regulations.  He assisted in the drafting of listing guidelines for short term paper and global depositary notes for the Irish Stock Exchange.

    Marc is a partner in the Frankfurt office of Allen & Overy and heads the U.S. corporate finance and high yield teams in Germany.     Evangelos Raptis is Group Treasury Director at Intralot, a role he held since 2014.  Whilst with Intralot, Evangelos has raised, refinanced and restructured debt facilities in the high-yield bond, syndicated bank, structured leasing, and insurance surety markets for amounts in excess of €1.5 billion.

    Before joining Intralot Evangelos worked in various origination DCM roles covering structured and EM transactions in London with Chase Investment Bank and Athens with Alpha Bank, between 1993 and 2005.  Subsequently he moved to industry functions as Group CFO for a payments infrastructure company in Southeastern Europe and a media-telco group in Greece.

    Evangelos holds a BA Degree from Swarthmore College, an MS from Brandeis University and an Executive MBA from Stanford University.

    Gary is a New York-qualified lawyer and was previously a senior associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton. After an initial period in New York, Gary spent several years in London, Gaining extensive experience in cross border and emerging markets debt transactions, particularly high-yield bond issuances and leveraged loans. He has a Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law (with honors) and a Bachelor of Arts (with highest honors) from Rutgers University. Following law school, Gary was a law clerk to the Honorable William H. Walls of the United States
    Federal District Court, District of New Jersey.

In his role Arnaud oversees the origination and execution of leveraged financing transactions across the loan and bond capital markets, including event driven and refinancing transactions, for BNP Paribas corporate clients in EMEA.

    Arnaud joined BNP Paribas in 1996 in the Leveraged Finance Group in New York. After five years originating and executing middle market LBOs across the U.S., he transferred to London in July 2001 to contribute to the setup of the European High Yield Capital Markets desk. He became head of the team in January 2009. In 2015, as BNP Paribas reorganized its leveraged finance operations to combine loans and bonds, Arnaud became the head of Corporate Leveraged Capital Markets.

    Arnaud received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers, Paris, France, and a M.S. in Finance from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales, Paris, France.
