Mats is Head of the Corporate Governance and Corporate Finance Division at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). His main responsibilities include corporate governance, capital markets, corporate finance and state-owned enterprises.

He has written extensively on corporate governance, equity markets and corporate bonds. Recent reports include Corporate Bond Market Trends, Emerging Risks and Monetary Policy, the OECD Equity Market Review of Asia and a report on the Changing Business Models of Stock Exchanges and Stock Market Fragmentation. Other works include Who Cares? Corporate Governance in Today’s Capital Markets and Institutional Investors as Owners – Who They Are and What They Do.

He led the 2020 capital market reviews of Italy and Portugal financed by the European Commission. Mats Isaksson serves on the Advisory Board of the Centre for Global Markets and Corporate Ownership at Columbia University and is Senior Visiting Fellow at the Stockholm Centre for Commercial Law. He is a founding Director of the Swedish Corporate Governance Forum.

Sirpa is a Finnish Member of the European Parliament representing European People’s Party (EPP) since 2008, and a former Minister of the Environment of Finland. She is a Member of the Committees on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) and Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) and substitute member on the Environment and Public Health (ENVI).
Within her work, she seeks to combine her two specialities, that of the environment and economics. Sirpa is a strong advocate of a transition to a sustainable finance, and served as the lead negotiator on behalf of European Parliament and the EPP group on the first Sustainable Finances legislative initiatives, Disclosure and Taxonomy Regulations as well as on the Parliament's Own Initiative Report on Sustainable Finance.
