How does Coronavirus impact AFME's events?

Following the UK Government’s removal of all domestic COVID-19 restrictions (24 February 2022), AFME will continue to follow Government public health advice in relation to ‘living with COVID-19’.

Guidance for attendees:

Attendees of our events will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative test result. However, if you have COVID-19 or are displaying any of the main COVID-19 symptoms, please do not attend.

Delegates are strongly encouraged to take a rapid lateral flow test within 24 hours of attending the event and should only attend if the result is negative. Please note that we will not be providing rapid lateral flow tests on site.

The safety of our delegates is important to us; therefore, we will continue to implement the following measures to help reduce the risk of infection:

• Hand sanitiser will be available at registration desks and throughout the venues.
• Good ventilation in all meeting rooms/conference space.
• While efforts will be made to ease congestion at the event, we will not be enforcing social distancing. As our events encourage networking and other forms of interaction between attendees, there may be times when delegates are within close proximity of others. We would ask that delegates be mindful of others’ personal space when interacting with them.
• Other measures may be introduced at AFME’s discretion, and/or in response to any Government recommendations or guidelines.
