With the Savings and Investment Union Strategy now in full motion - with initiatives already unveiled and further important measures expected before the end of the year - the Commission has begun to deliver on the recommendations of the European Council and the various high-level reports published over the past year.

On 26 November 2025, AFME and our partner organisations will publish the 8th edition of the Capital Markets Union: Key Performance Indicators report, which tracks progress in the development of the EU capital markets ecosystem.
This year, we are pleased to welcome John Berrigan (DG FISMA, European Commission) and Peter Csonka (DG JUST, European Commission), who will share their insights on the Commission’s ongoing work to enhance EU’s growth.

Alongside key representatives of EU market participants - including Insurance Europe, EFAMA, EBAN, European Issuers, Allied for Startups, Invest Europe, Pensions Europe, AIMA, and FESE - this launch event will provide a timely opportunity to:
• Reflect on the main findings of this year’s report
• Examine structural challenges that may be holding back progress, as well as changes affecting capital markets
