Commenting on the consultation published by the Fair and Effective Markets Review, Simon Lewis, Chief executive of the Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME), said:

The questions around structure and conduct raised in the paper are far-reaching and challenging for the global fixed income, currency and commodity markets, but highly relevant and we and our members look forward to engaging with the Review in the months ahead to help ensure that there are effective market solutions to the issues identified”.
