As Europe faces a period of economic uncertainty, the need to advance the Capital Markets Union (CMU) project has never been more pressing.

Over the past five years, AFME, with the support of several partner organisations, has been tracking progress in the expansion and deepening of capital markets across the EU through a set of indicators.

On 17 November 2022, AFME and its partners will publish the 5th edition of our “Capital Markets Union: Key Performance Indicators” report at a special anniversary event that will examine the state of Europe’s capital markets and the next steps for the CMU project.

The event will feature a keynote intervention from Mairead McGuinness, European Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and the Capital Markets Union, and the participation of senior industry representatives.
