EU policymakers have become increasingly vocal on the importance of the relaunch of the securitisation market in order to achieve the EU’s strategic investment and competitiveness goals.

On 17 June, the European Commission published its legislative proposal to amend the Securitisation Regulation and the Capital Requirements Regulation aiming to support the growth of the EU securitisation market while maintaining financial stability. A more vibrant securitisation market can help channel more investments and support growth and competitiveness.
