Completing the Capital Markets Union: key priorities and next steps
Overview
Thursday 25 June, 14:00 BST/ 15:00 CEST
The Capital Markets Union (CMU) project is more urgent than ever to support long-term growth and Europe’s economic recovery following the Covid-19 pandemic.
The recent report of the CMU High-Level Forum (HLF) features 17 sets of recommendations covering a wide range of areas: equity markets, retail investment, market infrastructure integration, securitisation, digitalisation and regulatory impediments, among others.
What are the key priorities for the next phase of CMU? How should these recommendations be taken forward?
Join us for a public event to discuss the next steps in further developing and integrating the EU’s capital markets.
Speakers on the call include:
• David Wright, Chair of the CMU HLF Sub-group on the capital raising ecosystem
• Andrea Beltramello, Member of Cabinet of Executive Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis, European Commission
