The Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME) is pleased to announce that Giulia Pecce, Head of Secondary Capital Markets and Wholesale Investor Protection, has been appointed to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Bank of England’s (BoE) Transaction and Post-Trade Reporting Harmonisation Taskforce (the Taskforce).
The Taskforce has been established to inform the design of a long-term approach to harmonising transaction and post-trade reporting requirements. Its work will help explore how modern technologies, improved data frameworks and coordinated policy approaches can ensure that reporting requirements are proportionate to their benefit whilst maintaining the FCA and the BoE’s ability to gain the insights needed to support their respective statutory objectives.
Giulia Pecce added: “I am honoured to be appointed to the Taskforce and to contribute to its seminal work. The harmonisation of transaction and post-trade reporting frameworks represents an exceptional opportunity to enhance efficiency and reduce complexity for market participants. I look forward to contributing to the Policy Working Group, drawing on my knowledge of transaction reporting combined with my experience of managing large-scale policy projects and engaging constructively with peers and policymakers to deliver pragmatic, forward-looking solutions.”
Mrs. Pecce brings extensive experience in technical policy and strategic leadership. In her role at AFME, she oversees a wide-ranging portfolio of policy issues relating to the legal framework for wholesale banks under MiFID, including transaction reporting. In 2024, she established and developed AFME’s transaction reporting capability, positioning the association as a credible and influential voice in both UK and EU policy discussions.
