Alexandra is a carbon finance expert. She has more than 15 years of experience in supporting countries to access carbon finance for high impact mitigation projects in the energy sector and beyond. She is currently managing UNDP’s Article 6 Transfer Readiness Activities to enhance countries readiness to engage in the new carbon market instruments under the Paris Agreement with an emphasis on cooperative approaches between governments.

Before joining the energy team, Alexandra initiated the first Article 6 capacity building activities in UNDP’s Climate team which led to the signing of bilateral cooperation agreements with buyer governments such as Switzerland. Previously, Alexandra managed MDG Carbon, UNDP’s corporate framework for carbon finance under the Kyoto Protocol.

Alexandra has also developed SDG impact tools to verify the sustainable development impacts of carbon projects. Before joining UNDP, she worked at the Austrian JI/CDM Programme, managed by Kommunalkredit with a carbon credit purchasing target of more than 30mio tCO2e. Alexandra earned her PhD in Environmental Sciences at the Austrian Institute of Technology with a specialisation on fluctuating micro-climatic stresses on plants.

Anup is the global head of Climate Finance and Policy at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, and the largest development institution focused on the private sector in emerging markets. In his current role Anup leads several areas of IFC’s climate business including Paris Alignment, investing in sustainable and green bonds and relevant standards, framing, and implementing carbon pricing, climate risk and adaptation policies and practices, setting up and monitoring standards on climate-related metrics and climate strategy. He leads IFC’s work on climate policy initiatives, thought leadership in the climate space, carbon credits and biodiversity and developing innovative finance products to scale up climate business. He also manages the Green Bonds Technical Assistance Program.

Anup has spent over 21 years in IFC’s investment operations working in several regions and sectors, including manufacturing, agribusiness, infrastructure, and financial services, and has led several of IFC’s climate smart agribusiness projects. Leveraging his deep agribusiness investment experience he developed IFC’s strategy and approach in the area of innovative and disruptive technologies in agribusiness. Anup has served as nominee Director for IFC investee companies in Sub Saharan Africa.

Prior to joining IFC, Anup spent time with Unilever in India, led a medium sized company as CFO and COO in the construction materials space in the Philippines and also had short stints with Citibank (India), Oberoi Hotels (India) and Accenture (Malaysia). Anup is a graduate of the Asian Institute of Management and the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania and did his undergraduate studies in Economics at St. Xavier’s college in Kolkata, India.

Belinda is MD and General Counsel at Citi, based in London, she leads the Global Commodities legal team and the legal support for ESG in Global Markets.

Belinda came to Citi 8 years ago from Deutsche Bank where she also led the Global Commodities legal team. Belinda has been involved in the carbon markets since pre-launch of the EU ETS in 2005, being involved with the original World Bank Prototype fund, the CDM and JI mechanisms and the secondary markets in all types of emissions and renewables certificates globally. At Citi in both roles, for Commodities and for ESG, the primary and secondary markets in compliance and non-compliance carbon certificates are central to her work.

Bénédicte is the Head of the BIS Innovation Hub, Hong Kong Centre. Prior to this appointment, she was a managing director at SC Ventures, the innovation arm of Standard Chartered Bank that leads a series of new ventures across digital banking, banking as a service, SME finance and blockchain.

From 2018-2019, she was the Vice President of International Government Relations at Circle, involved in the evolution of blockchain and digital assets. From 2012-2018, she was the Head of Risk & Strategy of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), and in that capacity also acting as the Vice Chair of the Committee on Emerging Risks and the Fintech research lead for the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). From 2007-2012, she was a managing director at Credit Suisse and before that from 1997-2007 she was an associate and executive director at Goldman Sachs. Originally from Belgium, she holds LL.M. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Chicago and the University of Leuven. She is admitted to the New York Bar since 1999.

In 2016, she was a recipient of the China Daily Asian Women Leadership Awards for her efforts related to entrepreneurship, innovation and charity. She remains closely engaged in these topics, most recently through her involvement in the Fintech Association of Hong Kong (FTAHK) and Women in Finance Asia (WiFA.)

Bill has a background in Options trading and software development.

Brett is a leading finance professional in the energy transition. His 20+ years international experience spans investment banking, advisory, brokerage, NGOs and government. He is founder of Net Zero Capital Advisory, an independent firm providing advice and solutions to finance the transition to net zero carbon emissions.

Brett was formerly a Director at Deutsche Bank in London for 14 years where he built the Environmental Financial Products business arranging low carbon transactions. He was also a senior member of the Infrastructure and Energy Finance business arranging structured financing solutions for equity sponsors investing in the energy transition.

Prior to investment banking, he was Director, Carbon Finance at First Climate in Zurich. Earlier in his career he was Senior Policy Advisor for climate change at IUCN-The World Conversation Union in Geneva and worked in Washington, DC for the Clinton Administration.

Caitlin is a partner in Baker McKenzie’s Financial Services & Regulatory Group in the London office. She advises asset managers, banks, major corporates, exchanges, clearing houses and payment institutions on navigating UK and EU financial services regulation. She has particular experience in advising clients on operating in compliance with ongoing regulatory developments, including MiFID II, EMIR, the Investment Firms Regulation, ESG reforms, AIFMD and the Market Abuse Regulation.

She also has expertise in the areas of banking and wholesale financial markets regulation, in particular in the FX and fixed income space, alongside experience advising market infrastructure providers, including major international exchanges, trading platforms, clearing systems and payment services providers, on a variety of compliance issues.

Caitlin is a member of Baker McKenzie’s ESG and sustainability taskforce and advises a range of clients on the drafting and implementation of ESG policies and the implications of becoming a signatory to the UNPRI and the Stewardship Code. Caitlin is an authority on regulatory reforms in the sustainability space and sits on a number of trade association working groups.

Chris has responsibility for developing and implementing the Bank's strategic approach to climate change across all of its policy operations. He has been particularly focused on the PRA’s supervisory approach to addressing the financial risks arising from climate change and the development of the Bank's climate scenario analysis exercise (the CBES), which launched in June 2021.

Chris joined Standard Chartered in 2011 and is responsible for the development of Carbon Markets strategy and product development for the Bank, which requires close cooperation across the business and externally to identify and participate in carbon markets as they develop to support the Bank’s sustainable finance goals.

Chris is a board member of the governance body of the Taskforce for Scaling the Voluntary Carbon Markets (TSVCM), a member of the Climate Impact X management team, co-leads the SMI FSTF carbon markets working group and serves as a member of the CPLC's Advisory Group. Chris’s experience in the commodity markets spans 30 years in origination, sales and trading. At Standard Chartered, he built up the Bank’s energy risk management platform, providing services for state-owned and merchant refiners, oil producers, airlines, utilities and shipping companies.

Previously Chris was with Barclays where he was Global Head of Environmental Markets Sales and before that at Merrill Lynch where he traded power, gas and set up their carbon emissions trading desk. He was a founder member of the Carbon Markets and Investors Association (CMIA) and was the Chairman of Power Trading Forum a division of the Futures and Options Association (FOA). He also worked as a base metals trader for several years before moving to energy. Chris has a strong understanding of commodity trade flows, managing price risk and working with clients across commodities.

Delphine is the Head of Sustainable Finance Client engagement, Global Markets, supporting BNP Paribas’ key clients engaged in a low carbon economic transition, and promoting a more inclusive growth within the responsible investment community.

Prior to this, Delphine was in charge of accelerating the development of Global Markets Sustainable Finance solutions as Head of Sustainable Finance and Solutions. She has been overseeing BNP Paribas’s teams globally involved in the Covid -19 Social Bond response and new capital markets solutions supporting Transition as well as investment products helping to accelerate the UN SDGs.

Delphine has a wide experience across various industries including but not limited to financing oil and gas, infrastructure and renewable energy sectors, working with Corporates and Financial Sponsors in particular.
Early 2019, Delphine graduated from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, reflecting her commitment towards sustainability.

Franz started at UniCredit in 2008 in Markets, Credit Solutions Structuring. He is responsible for physical, financial commodity solutions for WoCa, liquidity management and price hedging.

Franz is the Coordinator of Commodity Value Chain. He is an ESG Member of the GFMA BCG Carbon Markets project working group.

Franz has more than 30 years of experience in investment banking, debt capital markets and structured solutions.

Christian joined European DataWarehouse in 2016 as Chief Operating Officer and one year later, was appointed as CEO.

Christian worked previously at Moody’s Analytics for 14 years in various senior positions, most recently as senior director with inter alia responsibility for the DACH region.

In the early stage of his career, Christian was a team leader at the risk consulting firm Baetge & Partner (an OliverWyman affiliate) and also worked in structured finance for Dresdner Bank in Frankfurt and London.

Fabio is a Deputy Director of the Monetary and Capital Markets Department with responsibility for the IMF’s global financial markets monitoring and systemic risk assessment functions.

He is responsible for the Global Financial Stability Report that gives the IMF’s assessment of global financial stability risks. Prior to joining the IMF, Fabio was a Senior Associate Director in the Division of Monetary Affairs at the Federal Reserve Board, where he conducted research and current analysis on the relationship between monetary policy, financial regulatory policy, and financial stability. Between October 2016 and June 2017, Fabio was Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Financial Stability and Regulation at the U.S. Department of Treasury.
His responsibilities included leading U.S. engagement on financial regulatory cooperation in the G-20, representing the U.S. Treasury at the Financial Stability Board, coordinating between domestic and international post-crisis regulatory reforms, and monitoring developments and vulnerabilities in global financial markets. Fabio holds a PhD in Economics from New York University.

Gordon has been Managing Director of Utility Markets at Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. since February 2015. He is responsible for the sales and business development of the European and Asian natural gas and power, global environmental and global coal portfolios. He is a member of the board of ICE Endex and ICE Futures Abu Dhabi and co-chairs the Sustainable Finance Working Group at ICE.

Prior to ICE, Gordon spent 12 years at the global energy broker, Spectron, joining as Group Financial Controller in 2002. During his tenure at Spectron he held several Board roles including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer. After the acquisition of Spectron by Marex in 2011 he joined the Executive Committee of Marex Spectron in the role of Managing Director and Global Head of Energy.

Gordon is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999. He served as a Senior Manager in the Energy, Infrastructure and Utilities division of accounting firm Andersen holding responsibility for several large energy trading companies. He successfully launched the Andersen Spectron Energy Indices in 2001; the first audited, trade backed gas and power indices in Europe. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (with Honours) in Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh from 1990 to 1994.

Huw is Senior Advisor to the Chief Executive of UBS. Prior to this, Huw was Senior Advisor to Mark Carney, when he was Governor at the Bank of England, leading a wide-reaching review on the future of finance. The van Steenis Report led to a five pronged plan for the central bank announced by the Governor June 2019 which included the first climate change stress tests for financial institutions of a TCFD basis.

Huw has been recognised has one of the most influential investment strategists. Huw worked at Morgan Stanley for 14 years spending much of his time there as Global Head Banks and Diversified Financials research.

He is co-Chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Finance, member of the Oxford University Endowment Investment Committee and Trustee of English National Opera.

Jean-Philippe is a lawyer ranked nationally and globally who advises oil and gas, power, industrial, and financial institution clients on a wide range of energy and environmental matters, including carbon capture and sequestration and carbon neutrality.

Jean-Philippe was previously Vice President in Goldman Sachs’ Global Commodities business where he helped establish Goldman’s US carbon trading desk and worked on a number of private equity transactions. Over his career, he has diligenced, negotiated, structured, and drafted more than 200 environmental commodities transactions and has advised clients on environmental issues in more than 150 M&A, private equity, and banking transactions.

Jean-Philippe currently represents the FivePoint Holdings on the design of NetZero Newhall, the largest carbon neutral city in the world, Microsoft on the deployment of its US$1 billion Climate Innovation Fund, and Occidental Petroleum on a carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) project in Texas.

Jill is the Head of Environment, Social and Government (ESG) at American Airlines. In that role, she is responsible for the company’s climate change strategy and its ESG reporting, policies, partnerships and stakeholder engagement.

Jill joined the company in 2019 after several years at JPMorgan Chase, where she led the firm’s $100 million investment in Detroit’s economic recovery and its corporate responsibility reporting.

Previously, she served as Chief of Staff at the U.S. Office of Management and Budget and worked on public policy issues at mortgage lender Fannie Mae. Jill graduated from Duke University and has a Master’s degree in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.

Lindsay is Managing Director and Head of Strategic Initiatives and ESG at RBC Capital Markets. She leads the Sustainable Finance Group, and with her team, spearheads the provision of solutions and advice for RBC’s institutional and corporate clients across all areas of sustainable finance that incorporates both environmental and social perspectives. Lindsay is also responsible for the advancement of the RBC Capital
Markets’ business strategy, supporting the firm’s overall growth and performance ambitions.

Lindsay has two decades experience in investment banking, spanning trading floors across North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. She began her career with RBC Capital Markets in investment banking in Toronto, followed by 10-years overseas with a global bank in London, where she held a variety of positions, including the Head of Global Equity Sales and Director of Macro Sales within its Global Equity Derivatives group. Returning to Toronto, she rejoined RBC Capital Markets as the Global ETF Strategist before launching the Sustainable Finance Group.

Lindsay is active within RBC and the industry in advancing important initiatives related to Diversity and Inclusion and is a mentor to numerous colleagues, supporting their growth and development across the bank.

Roy Choudhury is a Managing Director and Partner at the Boston Consulting Group. He leads the Capital Markets practice in North America and is an expert in Corporate Treasury.

Mr. Choudhury is also a member of the Alternate Reference Rate Committee (ARRC) and co-chairs the Operations and Infrastructure working group. He is supporting the regulators, trade associations and financial market participants to transition from LIBOR to ARR. He led an industry wide initiative with ISDA and other trade associations on benchmark reform. Mr. Choudhury has supported global banking and capital markets firms in large scale business and regulatory transformation initiatives.

Prior to joining BCG, Mr. Choudhury was Partner with EY based in New York and London for 13 years where he led the Americas Capital Markets and co-lead the Treasury practices. Prior to that he spent many years at Accenture and Reuters focused on financial services.Mr. Choudhury holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School specializing in Strategy and Finance. He is also an Associated of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Sandrine is Head of Impact Finance Solutions within SGCIB, whose mission is to support the environmental transition of our clients through advisory services, sustainable finance products, innovative solutions and to coordinate the SGCIB transforming shift program.

Since 2013, she was responsible for the Impact Structuring team, in charge of developing attractive financing solutions for both issuers and investors integrating their sustainability agenda in collaboration with all the business lines.

Previously Environmental and Social Advisor in 2010. Sandrine joined Société Générale in 2005 as Mining and Building materials industry consultant. Previously she held various operating positions in the Mining and Materials industry sectors.

Steve is Head of the Wholesale Division of Nomura, a role he assumed in March 2017. Nomura is an Asia-headquartered financial services group with an integrated global network spanning over 30 countries through four business divisions: Retail, Asset Management, Wholesale (Global Markets and Investment Banking), and Merchant Banking. Steve is a Senior Managing Director of Nomura Holdings, based in London, chair of the Wholesale Executive Committee, and a member of the Global Risk Management Committee.

Prior to becoming Head of the Wholesale Division, Steve was Head of Global Markets, a position he held since December 2012, encompassing the global Fixed Income and Equities businesses of Nomura. He joined Nomura in May 2010 as Global Head of Rates, based in Tokyo. In July 2011, he assumed additional responsibility for the Global Foreign Exchange business. Steve is currently serving as the Chairman of the Global Financial Markets Association (GFMA). GFMA brings together three of the world’s leading financial trade associations to address the increasingly important global regulatory agenda and to promote coordinated advocacy efforts: The Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME), the Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA) and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA).

Steve joined Nomura from RBS where he was a board member of the Investment Bank with global responsibility for Delta Interest Rate and Flow Credit Trading. He joined RBS in August 2004 after eight years with UBS as a Managing Director in charge of the European Government Bond and Inflation Trading business.

Tim leads Environmental and Social Risk Management globally for Goldman Sachs as a Vice President in the Sustainable Finance Group. In addition, he advises clients on ESG performance, supports stakeholder engagement, and assists with the development and implementation of the firm's climate change strategy.

Tim also sits on the firmwide Physical Commodity Review Committee, which evaluates risks associated with engaging in, investing in, or financing of physical commodity activities that may have an impact on the environment or human health and safety. He joined Goldman Sachs as an Associate in 2010, and previously worked in the Environmental Markets Group and Derivatives Prime Services teams.

He received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Providence College and his M.B.A. with a concentration in corporate social responsibility from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame. Tim also holds an Energy Risk Professional certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.

Vilas is a Director in Bank of America’s Global Sustainable Finance Group (GSFG). He
leads the Innovative Structuring pillar of the GSFG business. Innovative Structuring leads Bank of America’s capital deployment into new clean energy and sustainable infrastructure asset classes including: carbon markets, hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuels, waste-to-energy, water infrastructure, sustainable agriculture/aquaculture, and mobility.

Prior to Bank of America Vilas worked at Deutsche Bank in its structured finance business
focused on private credit for sustainable finance, infrastructure, energy, and middle market
credit. He started his career in real estate development focused on acquisitions for two national developers.

Vilas is Chair of the Ambassadors Board of DREAM. DREAM is an educational and youth
development organization, serving over 2,500 children in the New York City area.
Vilas is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration.

Yuhau has been trading, originating and structuring US environmental commodities transactions since 2009. He got his start in the market at Noble Group, originating voluntary carbon offsets with the potential to be accepted into the California Cap and Trade compliance market as well as the ultimately doomed Federal Cap and Trade program (i.e., “Waxman Markey”).

From there he went to NRG, where he traded compliance and voluntary markets in Carbon (CCA and RGGI), Renewable Energy Credits (Ercot, PJM, NEPOOL), Nox and SO2 (EPA CSAPR program), as well as various regional ERC products around the US.

In late 2021 Yuhau joined the Morgan Stanley power and gas trading desk in New York, where he has helped to lead the effort to build out and expand the firm’s capabilities and product offerings in all thing’s environmental commodities.
