Bernd is a Member of the European Parliament in which he serves as a member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON).
Bernd graduated in 1987 as national economist and habilitated in 1997 in economics and econometrics at the Free University of Berlin. Subsequently he was a professor for economics at the University of Hamburg from 1998 until 2014. He was visiting professor at University of British Columbia University, Vancouver (2007/2008), at Indiana University Bloomington (2011/2012) and at OECD, Paris (2012/2013). He was elected to the European Parliament in 2014.
Besides ECON Committee, Bernd is a member of the Committee on Development (DEVE) and was a member of the Special committee on financial crimes, tax evasion and tax avoidance (TAX3).
Portfolio Manager, PIMCO
Timo is a senior vice president and portfolio manager in the PIMCO Munich office, focusing on European covered bonds.
He joined Allianz Group, PIMCO's parent company, in 1999. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2000, he worked in the global markets research department at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson in Frankfurt.
He has 23 years of investment experience and holds a diploma from the International School of General Management Schloss Waldsee, Germany.
Director, S&P Global Ratings
Casper is a Director and senior member of the European Covered Bond Team. As a country lead analyst he follows the financial markets throughout the Nordic region, Germany, Austria and Luxembourg. Casper joined S&P Global Ratings as a credit analyst in 2006 and has covered a broad range of covered bond issuers (mortgage, shipping and public-sector) and jurisdictions including the U.K, Ireland and Portugal.
Before S&P Global Ratings, Casper worked as an Analyst for NERA economic consulting in Frankfurt, Germany, which followed roles with Siemens AG and Nykredit A/S. Casper currently works out of S&P Global Ratings London office.
Casper holds a master’s degree in Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School and a CEMS master’s degree in International Management from St. Gallen/Copenhagen.
Global Head of Sustainable Finance, Natixis
Orith is Global Head of Natixis CIB’ Green and Sustainable Finance. She has been working in SRI/ESG since 2002.
Orith joined Natixis in 2008 to create and lead its SRI sell-side Research team, which is now part of the Green and Sustainable Finance Hub she is in the process of creating. Natixis’ Green and Sustainable Hub consists of a dedicated, expert and resolutely cross-asset operational task force, whose main role is to develop CIB’s Green & Sustainable franchise and its revenue generation in Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Americas. It offers a wide range of services, from green & sustainable financing to investment solutions structuring through green & sustainable research and advisory.
As an analyst, Orith’s sectors of specialty have historically been energy, utilities, real estate - building materials & construction, but also carbon/climate related topics. She is also Natixis’ expert on green bonds.
Prior to joining Natixis, Orith was a senior SRI analyst at Groupama Asset Management from 2003 to 2008, where she created and led their SRI practice. She also worked for the ORSE, a French think tank for Corporate Social Responsibility, where she was a research analyst.
Orith started her career as an equity analyst at JP Morgan Chase in London.
Orith graduated from ESCP Europe in 2000 (Diplome Grande Ecole, Diplom Kaufmann).
Orith’s research team was ranked N°2 SRI/Sustainability Research team in Europe at the 2017 Extel Survey and she was ranked N°3 as an individual SRI analyst in the same survey. In 2015, she was N°1 ranked SRI sell-side analyst for her understanding of the environmental, social and governance (ESG) challenges facing companies in the European Independent Research in Responsible Investment (IRRI) survey conducted by Extel, WeConvene and SRI-Connect.
Head of Rating and IR, Jyske Realkredit
Christian is responsible for contact with domestic and international covered bond investors and analysts at Jyske Realkredit (formerly known as BRFkredit). He is also responsible for the rating of covered bonds issued by Jyske Realkredit. He started working in Jyske Realkredit in 2010 after working with credit risk in the Danish financial sector. After joining Jyske Realkredit, Christian initially worked in stress-testing, validation of IRB-models and solvency requirement. Christian Bech-Ravn holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Copenhagen.
Managing Director, Head of Syndicate & Origination FI / SSA, NordLB
Thomas is Managing Director, Head of Syndicate & Origination FI/SSA at NORD/LB. He joined NORD/LB in 2010 after holding several management positions at HVB (now UniCredit) and Calyon (now CACIB).
Thomas is a CFA charterholder and holds degrees in Economics, Business Administration and Law from London, Manchester and Frankfurt Universities. He is also a certified Real Estate Finance specialist, qualifying at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and delivered his master’s thesis in Law on US Covered Bond legislation.

Neil has been Managing Editor of The Covered Bond Report since launching the publication in 2011. Neil previously worked for more than 10 years at EuroWeek (now GlobalCapital), including a stint as editor and launching a spin-off covered bond website.
Today Neil also runs publications on bank capital and sustainable finance.
He holds a degree in Philosophy from the London School of Economics.

Richard Hopkin is Head of Fixed Income and a managing director in the Securitisation Division. He joined AFME in June 2010 after a 25 year career in the law and finance during which he held leadership positions at J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank and Société Générale. He has originated, structured and distributed securitisations funding the real economy through a wide variety of asset classes including mortgages, credit cards, auto, consumer and SME loans, from across Europe, Australia and the US. Born and brought up in Wales, Richard read law at Cambridge University and qualified as a solicitor with leading international law firm Clifford Chance.
Head of Relationship Management, Luxembourg Stock Exchange
Carlo joined the Luxembourg Stock Exchange in 1994. After several years of experience in the listing of international securities, he was made responsible for the prospectus approval team. From 2006 to 2011, he was in charge of Bonds and Derivatives Listing and from 2011 to 2014, he was heading the Issuers and Securities Departmen. Since 2014 he is in charge of Relationship Management.
Carlo is member of various committees and working groups of authorities and industry associations, like the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (Luxembourg Regulator), ABBL (Luxembourg Banking Association), ALFI (Luxembourg Fund Industry Association)
He holds a degree in BA from University of Trier (Germany) and is a regular speaker at International Capital Markets conferences and seminars.

Chief Executive, Association of German Pfandbrief Banks (vdp)
Jens was appointed Chief Executive of the Association of German Pfandbrief Banks (vdp) in June 2009.
Between January 2003 and May 2009, he served as the Managing Director of the Association of Foreign Banks (VAB) in Germany.
Before that, from 1998 to 2002, Jens worked for the Association of German Mortgage Banks in Bonn and Berlin (the predecessor organization of the vdp) in several positions, finally heading the capital markets department of the association.
Prior to this he studied economics, specializing in monetary macroeconomics and finance, and graduated in 1998.
Director, Fixed Income, AFME
Victoria is AFME’s Director of Fixed Income, having joined the association in November 2015. She is responsible for the AFME Primary Dealers, Credit and Covered Bond Boards, focusing on developments in regulation, policy and market structure. Victoria has more than 19 years of fixed income experience in banking, vendor sales, broking and market making. Prior to joining AFME, Victoria worked at Barclays Investment Bank in a role focused on fixed income electronic trading.
Head of Funding and Investor Relations, Berlin Hyp
Bodo is Head of Funding and Investor Relations at Berlin Hyp AG in Berlin and is responsible for the bank’s long term funding, its relations to investors and also to rating agencies. In addition he looks after Berlin Hyp’s activities in Green Bonds.
Before joining Berlin Hyp in 2010 he worked as a division manager at the Association of German Pfandbrief Banks (vdp) responsible for Pfandbrief and capital markets issues. Prior to joining the vdp in 2004 Bodo was an asset manager with Deutsche Kreditbank AG where he was in charge of the bank’s fixed income portfolio. After starting his career at GrundkreditBank, Berlin in 1994 he worked as a money market trader at Berliner Volksbank.
Bodo received a MBA from Lord Ashcroft International Business School in Cambridge and holds a degree in Business Administration from HTW Berlin University of Applied Sciences.
Senior Manager - Financial Markets, Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich
Andreas is a Senior Manager, Financial Markets, responsible for refinancing and funding of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich with focus on international placement of own issues. The target markets are Germany, France, Switzerland, Benelux and the Nordics, including Finland, Sweden and Denmark. Andreas also conducts client service management for Austrian institutional clients including corporates, banks, pension funds and asset managers. His expertise are in financial law, regulatory law and accounting.
Prior to joining Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich, Andreas has previously held roles a Managing Director at RWB Private Capital Austria; Director at Centrum Bank; Client Service Manager at Raiffeisen Capital Management and Asset Management with Bayern Invest.
