The Rates division monitors developments in policy and market structure that affect the rates markets. The Global Rates Board sets global strategy and priorities on the broader issues that have an impact across the spectrum of rates products, such as government bonds, agencies, supranationals, government guaranteed bonds and swaps. The European Primary Dealers sub-committee address issues affecting the government bond market specifically.
AFME staff work to address primary and secondary issues by facilitating consultation with key market participants, including primary dealers, European Debt Management Offices, the European Commission, the European Central Bank, and trading platforms.
