Overview of MiFID

A comprehensive guide to the capital markets issues raised by the MiFID Review

The proposals resulting from the Review of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), which are due to be published in October 2011, will form the basis of one of most far-reaching pieces of financial regulation to come out of Europe in recent years. The consultation exercise has led to considerable concern over the scope and scale of the likely changes. In this set of briefing notes, we analyse the main themes of the MiFID Review and highlight some of the outstanding concerns in specific classes of securities.
